Game 2 vs. Mooretown

Belle River won game 2 of the series last night in overtime in Mooretown. The Canadiens jumped out to a 3-0 lead early in the second period only to see the Flags come back and eventually tie the game with under five minutes left in the third. The Canadiens can thank Zak Olvin who made 30 saves for the win. He played a tremendous game, making many key saves to keep the Canadiens in the game. Cole Chevalier had a natural hat-trick for the Canadiens and played a great defensive game. Branden Larocque, and Jason Koumaris added 3 assists each in last nights game.

Chris DiNatle had a strong fore check on the winning goal, when he made a pass in the corner to Scott Chauvin. Chauvin then found Nik Dobrich in the slot where he "fired" a shot five-hole for the winning goal just 40 seconds into overtime.

Both teams were strong on the penalty kill, allowing no powerplay goals in the game. Game 3 is this Friday in Belle River at 7:30 p.m.
