Game 2
Game 2 between the Sharks and the Canadiens was held last night in Wheatley, with the Canadiens skating away with a 6-2 victory to take a 2 games to nothing series lead. The Canadiens received big games from Chris DiNatle, Scott Chauvin, Weston Gaul, and goal tender Zak Olvin. DiNatale and Chauvin had 4 points each, while Gaul had 3 and Olvin made 30 saves for the win.
It was a rough contest with both teams heading to the penalty box a lot. The sharks had 12 power plays including a full two minute five on three early in the game, but the Canadiens #1 ranked penalty kill from the regular season was a perfect 12 for 12 on the kill. The Canadiens scored on 2 of their 8 power plays to help them earn the victory.
Both teams get the week to practice and make any adjustments before they meet up on Friday in Belle River for game 3 at 7:30 p.m. Come support your team and make for a great atmosphere at Belle River arena.
Also Nik Dobrich was the winner of last weeks poll, for the leading the team in scoring after round one of the playoffs. If last nights Robert Reichel slap shot was any indication of him heating up, look out.
